Get in Touch With Us Today!
At Ethan Crossing Recovery, our mission is to help you stop using drugs or alcohol and without pain and help you achieve lifelong recovery. We provide many different individualized treatment options to help you accomplish this goal so that you can achieve the best recovery possible. Overall, the Ethan Crossing mission is to inspire hope, restore your peace of mind, and heal lives. Our recovery center, along with our professional and caring staff, is committed to helping you or a loved one on your path to recovery.
Step 1: Inspiring Hope
We will walk you through the first steps of recovery which will inspire the hope for the rest of your journey. These steps may include detox, a medical assessment, and an individualized treatment plan.
How To Safely Abstain Through Detox
The start of your recovery journey will be a drug detox program. With the help of our clinical staff, you can abstain safely and without pain from drugs and alcohol. We will medically monitor this detox so that you do not undergo any pain or difficulties during this process. At Ethan Crossing Recovery Center, we use medication such as suboxone or Vivitrol to help you go through the detox. Our staff will ensure that you do not experience any harsh effects as you start your recovery through detox and the rest of your treatment plan.
Motivating You Through Education
It is important to understand your addiction through addiction treatment center programs. Educating yourself about your addiction will help you understand how your addiction has impacted your overall well-being. Through understanding the reasons behind your addiction, you will be more motivated to achieve recovery. This education will also help reduce your anxiety and fear about stages of the recovery process. We will go through the entire process of how drugs affect different areas of your life. This includes:
- Biological: How drugs affect your brain and other organs
- Psychological: How addiction impacts your mental health (anxiety, depression, mood swings, etc.)
- Social: How addiction impacts your relationships; family, work, friends, housing
Addiction changes your whole life. It can change how you spend your time, it can affect your work product, and most importantly, it can affect your relationships. Understanding specifically how addiction has altered each one of these aspects of your life will motivate you throughout your recovery and our treatment plan, especially in the beginning. Environmental factors that may increase a person’s risk of addiction include a chaotic home environment and abuse, parent’s drug use and attitude toward drugs, peer influences, community attitudes toward drugs, and poor academic achievement.
Forming A Therapeutic Alliance
When you reach out to Ethan Crossing Recovery Center, we will assign you a primary therapist. This therapist will get to know you and the specific issues that you would like to work on. This specialist will help formulate your individualized treatment plan and will help with a reintegration plan back into the community. Research has shown that through a trusting relationship with a therapist, you will have a much greater chance at long term success.
Medical Assessment
Our medical providers will identify if you have any additional medical complexities that need to be addressed during your treatment. If we see that you will need any additional medication or support to help you along the way, we will incorporate this into your treatment plan.
Your Individualized Treatment Plan
Throughout your recovery, our interdisciplinary team will work together with you to craft an individualized treatment plan. Our treatment plan will incorporate:
- Your history and physical
- A biopsychosocial evaluation
- A nutritional assessment
Each of these elements accompanies you through your treatment journey. This is how we ensure that each patient’s treatment plan works. It works for you because it is designed for you. Our professional staff will be there for you every step of the way. If you have additional questions about the different stages of our treatment plan or how it works, do not hesitate to reach out to Ethan Crossing Recovery Center at 833.691.0736. We are here to help you achieve recovery.
Step 2: Restoring Peace Of Mind
Therapy will be a huge part of restoring your peace of mind throughout your addiction recovery process. We focus on providing each of our clients with a consistent delivery of care, which includes both group psychotherapy and individual daily therapy. Therapy can help you understand your addiction better and help you restore your peace of mind throughout the entire process. We will walk through each step of the process with you and outline what each type of therapy looks like. If you have any questions at all about our process, contact Ethan Crossing Recovery Center at 833.691.0736.
How Group Psychotherapy Helps Restore Your Peace Of Mind
Through group therapy, you will learn how better to understand the effects of addiction on your biopsychosocial well-being. We will also go through the phases of recovery with you and how you can beat “the wall” of relapse at key times. This will help guide you through your journey of recovery at each step of the way.
Helping You Understand Withdrawal Symptoms
In a group therapy program, we will help you understand and manage Post-Acute Withdrawal (PAW). PAW symptoms occur when you stop taking a drug that you have relied on for a long period. These symptoms might include:
- Irritability and hostility
- Depression
- Anxiety
- Mood swings
- Low energy and fatigue
- Insomnia
- Chronic Pain
Establishing Realistic Expectations
We will help you establish realistic expectations of the recovery journey through relapse prevention planning. This will help you understand and manage your relapse triggers while restoring your peace of mind throughout therapy. While recovery will not be easy due to some of the withdrawal symptoms and relapses, we will help you through it and will help you realize the value of the process in the end.
Meditation And Mindfulness
If you would like to use spirituality in your recovery, we can also incorporate these elements into your journey. If you would not like to incorporate spirituality, that is okay too. We provide many different methods to help you cope with, understand, and manage your stress while restoring your peace of mind during this time. We use meditation and mindfulness to help increase your mental clarity, and to help you access your relaxation response and cope with impulse and triggers. Meditation and mindfulness can also help you manage your negative emotions and anger. We help you validate these feelings and provide coping mechanisms for you, so they do not get in the way of your treatment progress.
Sharing Your Story In Group Therapy
In group therapy, individuals are encouraged to share their stories and goals with peers. This helps to keep everyone motivated and helps everyone realize that they are not alone. In group therapy, you can discuss family matters such as overcoming family dysfunction through our family therapy program. You can also discuss human needs, such as social relationships and how addiction affects these relationships. Groups even discuss topics such as how to practice good parenting in early recovery. In group therapy, you gain the advantage of listening to others and sharing the experiences that you are going through. This can help provide perspective and motivation for you along your recovery journey.
Group Psychoeducation In Recovery
At Ethan Crossing Recovery Center, another part of your recovery will involve group psychoeducation and how understanding health and wellbeing can also restore your peace of mind in your recovery journey. We discuss topics such as:
- Physical Wellness: Understanding common chronic illnesses that can affect sobriety (anemia, constipation, diarrhea, insomnia, dental, diabetes, cancer, headaches, hepatitis)
- Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STD): Understanding the different types, symptoms, how to treat them, and how to reduce the risk of contracting these diseases
- Chronic Pain: Opioids and understanding the pain-addiction cycle
- Problem Solving: Basic steps for problem-solving in early sobriety
- Self-Help Groups: Principles of AA, 12-step therapy, NA, alternatives such as Refuge Recovery and Smart Recovery
- Sex, Drugs, and Alcohol: Understand the effects of sex on sobriety and how to manage in early recovery
- Tobacco and Alcohol: Understanding why people use tobacco and alcohol and how these affect the body
- Medication Management: Understanding medications that we use in the treatment of substance use disorders at a mental health treatment program (Naltrexone, Antabuse, Apomorphine, Campral, Methadone)
We highly emphasize how education, proper nutrition, and exercise can help be a deciding factor in your recovery and promote your overall wellbeing.
Your Daily Therapeutic Schedule
Each patient will participate in therapy for about 6 hours a day. This includes morning motivation group (goals, affirmations, mindfulness, meditation exercise), group therapy program, psychoeducation group, some type of recreational therapy such as a music therapy program, yoga therapy program, fitness or exercise, individual therapy program, and then a self-help meeting such as AA, NA or Smart Recovery. You will also participate in the wrap-up group, which focuses on your progress and then evening meditation. We guide you along every step of the way, each day. Our group therapy programs are designed to help you in restoring your peace of mind. If you have any questions about our therapy groups or your daily schedule, contact Ethan Crossing Recovery Center at 833.691.0736. We are eager to help.
Step 3: Healing Lives
At Ethan Crossing Recovery, the last step of your recovery will focus on healing your life through long-term recovery. By completing our inpatient or outpatient treatment programs, you will learn how to overcome addiction and live a healthy lifestyle. After treatment, our goal is to help you stay sober. Above all, we want you to be able to make the tough decisions that you will have to make to maintain a sober lifestyle. We help you achieve success in the long run by giving you the tools you will need during treatment, and we provide this same support to you after treatment.
Your Completion Ceremony After Treatment
After treatment, we provide each patient with a certificate of completion and a coin. These items will also help you remember that you have successfully completed detox and treatment and that you are now on the road to recovery. You have chosen a healthy life of recovery, which is something to be celebrated. You will see improvements in your health, mood, and relationships, and you will now be able to fully commit to each of these areas after treatment as you begin your new life without addiction.
Long-Term Recovery And Discharge Planning
After your completion ceremony, our professional staff will talk through with you through planning your discharge from our residential treatment program. Your discharge will include a variety of steps, including:
- Establishing a plan of continued care to help you at every step along the way
- Reviewing your treatment plan goals and the progress you have made
- Scheduling follow-up appointments with community agencies and providers so you can get the care you need after recovery
Returning to normal life after recovery can often be the most difficult part of the journey. You will now have to make the tough decision to maintain a sober lifestyle on your own. We know you are well-prepared. You will take the coping methods you have learned in therapy and treatment and incorporate them into your new lifestyle. You will also have access to our large network of alumni after recovery. We encourage you to get involved with our alumni and communicate with them on a regular basis. Later down the road, you can even become a mentor to someone else who is in the shoes that you were once in. Together with the community that you are a part of at Ethan Crossing Recovery, you can help others promote healing lives through long-term recovery. Teenagers and people with mental health disorders are more at risk for drug use and addiction than other populations.
Our Outpatient Programs
You have different options and levels of outpatient treatment that you can participate in at Ethan Crossing. This includes:
- Partial hospitalization program: A PHP will allow you more flexibility on your recovery journey. You will still attend treatment and therapy, but you also have the option to live at home so you can continue with your work and responsibilities.
- Intensive outpatient program: An IOP gives you even more flexibility for treatment as you will receive therapy and treatment in an outpatient setting.
Through our variety of treatment options, we are able to heal lives through long-term recovery.
